Job brief
We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to take on the duty of maintaining the property’s functionality and good condition. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance duties, including painting, installing HVAC systems, landscaping, and more.
A maintenance technician is a meticulous professional who pays close attention to detail and has a realistic mindset. The ideal applicant will be able to follow all health and safety regulations while working independently and responsibly.
Responsibilities
- Examine structures and make necessary repairs to mechanical systems that ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out electrical system maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and outlets and cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels.
- Help set up refrigeration, ventilation, and other systems, and as needed, do repairs
- Keep plumbing and heating systems in good working order.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
